What is a Scotch Pie?
Scotch pies originate in Scotland and were traditionally filled with minced mutton. They have a very long history and were favoured among working people who sought a convenient and filling snack. Nowadays, they can be found all throughout the UK with a variety of delicious fillings. Please see our list of pies for more information.
Where Do You Source Your Ingredients?
The Scotch Pie Company is based in the Royal Burgh Tain in Scotland (North of Inverness). All of our ingredients are sourced locally from nearby Highland farms and award winning establishments. The pies are then prepared in our bakery by our team of master bakers. If you’d like to find out more about our ingredients, please head to our locally sourced ingredients page.
Do You Offer a Vegetarian Option?
At the moment we offer one delicious vegetarian option called Dragon’s Breath. This pie is a mix of macaroni and chilli and makes for a great, flavoursome snack.
